Better Than Sex Cake

Looking for the perfect dessert? This cake is just the one! Whenever I have a get together or celebration you can be sure that I will make this Better Than Anything Cake. Layers of sweet flavor that complement each other one right after the next. Each bite is full of every texture you love from soft to crunchy. This dessert is so desirable you’ll be dreaming about it as your head hits the pillow at night.

THE MOST DELICIOUS CAKE

This amazing treat starts with Devil’s Food chocolate cake. It is then soaked in caramel and sweetened condensed milk. This ensures that every bite remains moist, delicious, and doesn’t dry out. A generous layer of Cool Whip (or fresh whipped cream) sits on top like one large fluffy cloud. Chopped toffee candy bar pieces are sprinkled all over the top. You will fall in love at first bite!

Better Than Sex Cake

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 box (18 ounces) Devil’s Food Cake Mix
  • Eggs
  • Oil
  • Water
  • 1/2 can (use 7 ounces from a 14 ounce can) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups caramel sauce
  • 1 container (8 ounces) cool whip, thawed OR 8 ounces fresh whipped cream
  • 3 chocolate covered toffee candy bars OR Snickers Candy bars, chopped

HOW TO MAKE BETTER THAN ANYTHING CAKE

Bake cake according to package directions for a 9×13 baking dish. Carefully remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes.

Using a fork, poke holes all over the cake. Pour the caramel sauce evenly all over the top; allowing to soak into the holes. Then pour only half of the can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over the caramel.

Chop up one of the candy bars, and sprinkle evenly on top. Cover with plastic wrap and then place the in the refrigerator. Chill for a few hours to cool completely.

Remove from refrigerator and remove plastic wrap. Spread the cool whip (or fresh whipped cream) evenly over the top. Chop up the remaining two candy bars, and then sprinkle over the cool whip. Cut into pieces and serve!

HOW MANY SERVINGS DOES THIS MAKE?

This recipe serves 12.

HOW LONG DOES IT STAY GOOD FOR?

This is a wet cake, so you’ll only want to keep it for 3 days maximum, covered in the refrigerator. If it sits too long in the fridge it becomes a little too soggy.

  1. OMGosh, this looks so good! Can’t wait to try it and share it (linked back of course). And you’re right, this definitely looks like it will, um, satisfy….lol

  2. Congrats on your 100th post! Definitely a delicious cake to celebrate with! Have seen this cake in a few blogs, and always wondering how it tastes like, except by it’s given name!
Have a lovely day! Cheers! Here’s to another 100 posts!

  3. I have made this before, but added an adult twist. When the devil’s food cake comes out, I poke it with holes and pour over about two or three shots of Kahula and let it soak in. It provides another layer of flavor and is amazing.

  4. I have made many many cakes in my lifetime but this is definitely pretty much the new favorite of my family. IFor the top I cream 8 oz cream cheese, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, and then fold in cool whip…makes for a thicker topping and it is DELICIOUS. I also use the end of a wooden spoon for bigger holes.

  5. I use a bag of toffee bits in place of the candy bars. They taste so much better. I love this dessert!
