  1. I made this roast today! Normally, I am not a huge fan of pot roast. This roast was delicious! I used the low sodium versions of the packs. It was VERY tender, juicy, and flavorful! No extra spices needed! It was a big hit with my husband too, he loved it! Thanks for these easy and tasty recipe! 🙂

  2. Just had this for dinner– YUM! The kids ate it up and asked for more. This could not have been easier to make and tastes so delicious. Thanks so much for the recipe. I love this blog. Cinnamon roll pancakes for breakfast on Saturday is next up. 🙂

  3. I have made this several times & it is always a hit in my house. I have shared the recipe with others & they have loved it as well. Why couldn’t I think of this!!! Thanks! 🙂

  4. I made this recipe a couple of weeks ago and all I can say it WOW! It’s so easy so you wouldn’t think it would taste this good but it’s delicious! My husband went for seconds!

  5. The type of roast definitely makes a difference. I used a fattier roast (my bad for not trimming it) and a thicker roast. Quite soupy. Thankfully I purchased extra gravy packets so I could skim the fat and thicken the gravy. Amazing flavor but I would HIGHLY recommend trimming fat or searing prior to placing in the crockpot. I’ll try this again with a different cut of meat.

  6. I love this recipe, in fact I am going to make this next week end. My Sheltie (SERVICE DOGGIE) EATS HOME COOKED MEALS. Now crappy dog food what they put in that is “SCRAPS” I don’t eat scraps and my baby will not eat it neither. People need to investigate on the computer how dog food id made( hot way and cold way) neither is good for my baby. <3 (love) my baby.

  7. This is a question, but first this looks amazing and oh so easy! My ques is the Ita seasoning packet, is it Good seasons italian seasoning packet? Would like to make next sunday so an answer would be appreciated. Thank you

Hello! I have ENJOYED so many of your recipes. Well This hit the nail on the head! So FLAVORFUL and so moist. I used low sodium packets and half of the Italian seasoning packet only because I’m on a low sodium diet. Thank you!

  10. I have made this roast many times, it is my family’s favorite. I actually heard about the three packet roast about 10 years ago – i a packet of small red potatoes to save time otherwise, the mashed potatoes are better i believe.
